Wemmer Pan - home to Aquatics, Soccer, Rugby, Cycling, Swimming and places of historical interest
Wemmer Pan is the water front of Joburg featuring approximately 700m in length which
supports various water sports, such as canoeing, rowing, sailing, diving and dragon boat
racing. School rowing championships have been held at this dam and in 2008 showcased
the SA School Rowing Championships with more than 35 schools being represented.
If you are interested in joining one of the following disciplines, you can contact the
specialized clubs direct. SOJO hosts its Annual Dragon Boat Spring Festival every
first Sunday in September (unless changed for special reasons) where corporate
companies compete against each other for the Rose Bowl Trophy.
