The design of our eco hotel was inspired by the historical and environmental elements of the

Tswana Mountains. There are 52 magnificent rooms to choose from. The Kraal Kamers offer a true

upmarket "bush lodge" ambience and the Bushveld Suites has a contemporary design with truly

amazing views of the klipriviersberg Nature Reserve and Klipriviers Valley.

All Rooms have access to WiFi and are equipped with iPod docking stations, en suite bathrooms

with separate showers, heated towel rails, 2" LCD televisions, air conditioning, lounge areas and

complimentary coffee stations.

Gracious Hospitality

 

The Lido Hotel's Art Deco Style building dates back as far as the 1930"s. The design of the hotel was inspired by the Queen's visit to South Africa by steam boat. The name LIDO means "deck of a ship" used a  public place of recreation. The Hotel is well placed in the Kliprivier conservancy and Khoisan land. This historically protected building now boasts 24 rooms, each en suite with diva baths and Indian rock tiled bathroom walls. The Lido Hotel has conference and events facilities and can host from 50-350 guests for weddings or special functions and has its own chapel. The banquet hall is still fitted with the original spring loaded wooden dance floor.

 

The unique Lapa offers an upper and lower level united by an open fireplace and dance area which can accommodate up to 400 people. The Lido Bottle Store, in the 1930's has now been converted into a beautiful Chapel sure to generate many romantic wedding memories. The Lido Hotel was the original trading post and is still a popular stopover for people traveling between the North, East and South. Experience gracious hospitality with a breakfast, pub lunch, a la carte menu, Sunday buffet and a braai at the pool with live music. An intimate exclusive guest house nestled in rolling hills in the south of Johannesburg.

 

Ideally situated away from the hustle and bustle of city life but within 5 minutes of attractions such as Soccer City, Soweto, Gold Reef City and Amusement park, Apartheid Museum and Klipriver Nature Reserve. The lodge also boasts spectacular views over a golf course valley, conveniently located just half a kilometer away.

 

The lodge has 3 en-suite guest rooms (2 x double, 1 x twin) with private entrance and provides all the comforts you need – and more. This includes a swimming pool, braai area, outdoor lounge, 3 patios, a games room, free wi-fi internet, TV’s and a bar fridge in all rooms.

 

Apart from our standard B&B rates, we also offer braai's, local tours organised, and entertainment bookings if you would like them.
